Kirtland Credit Union’s answers to your questions

After 64 years of serving the community, we are excited to refresh our look &
modernize it to fit today’s culture.

The color selection for the new brand reflects colors seen in New Mexico
landscapes.

  • While the actual flag is gone, the new KCU logo is the centerpiece of a bold
    modernization for the long-established brand.
  • Each of the chevrons (arrows) in the new logo represent one of our 5 core values
(Community, Innovation, Trust, Diversity & Excellence).
  • It also reflects our brand promise: To build relationships and trust by supporting
the unique financial needs and goals of each member so they can live confident
    in their investment with us.
  • The chevrons combine to make a star. Can you see it?
  • No, we’re not changing our name. Kirtland Federal Credit Union is still in our
    legal/official name.
  • Kirtland Credit Union is our new brand name to be used for marketing,
promotions & in conversations with you or potential members. It’s also quicker to
    say.

As we have grown over the years, it’s important that our core values, mission &
vision change with that growth to meet the needs of our employees today, to find ways to better serve you & to be more inclusive to Albuquerque and
surrounding communities, giving us room to expand our reach and grow our
membership.

We did a competitive-market analysis & conducted focus groups with employees,
members & the public to learn our strengths & how our brand fits into the
community, which helped us determine it was time for a re-fresh.

  • Yes, we are! Established in 1958, we were born out of an Air Force Base to
support our military and help improve their financial positions.
  • Since that time, we have grown and expanded into serving more of our
community with 6 branches, our Home Loan Center and access to over 30,000
ATMs around the world. And with nearly 49,000 members, we continue to grow!
  • Our experience and investment in our members, employees, and technology has
allowed us to provide the very best financial guidance to you.
  • It’s not about banking. It’s about belonging, building life-long relationships &
adding value to every day and every interaction with hand-crafted & unique
solutions for each member’s individual financial needs.
  • Our success is measured in trust. Our reward is seeing our members live
    confident.
