The Kirtland Federal Credit Union (Kirtland FCU) Board of Directors has announced that Tom Shoemaker has stepped down from his position as President & Chief Executive Officer, effective July 3, 2020.
Shoemaker began his banking career in 1975, he joined Kirtland Federal Credit Union in 1993.
Under Shoemaker’s leadership as Chief Executive, the credit union relocated KAFB branch to the Base Exchange, open the Home Loan Mortgage Center and built the Coors Pavilion branch.
We wish Tom the best and hope that he enjoys his retirement. Many thanks for the years of service to Kirtland Federal Credit Union.
In addition to his work at Kirtland FCU, Shoemaker has served as a member of numerous nonprofit organizations, including United Way of Central New Mexico, the Credit Union Association of New Mexico and KRQE Cares campaign for Shoes for Kids. Shoemaker was on the Albuquerque Christian Children Home Board for thirteen years.
